    Open the add-ins

    Word, Excel or PowerPoint: Home › Add-ins. Outlook: Get Add-ins, or aka.ms/olksideload in your browser.

    Search for “Nella” and add it

    The add-in is added to your Microsoft account: it follows you on Windows, Mac, the web and iPad.

    Open Nella

    The Nella button on the Home tab, or on the message bar in Outlook, then sign in.

    Download the manifest

    The one for Word, Excel and PowerPoint, or the one for Outlook: a small .xml file that tells Office where to find Nella.

    Load it into Office

    Office on the web: Home › Add-ins › More Settings › Upload My Add-in. Mac: copy it into the app’s wef folder. Outlook: aka.ms/olksideload › My add-ins › Add from File.

    Open Nella

    The Nella button appears on the Home tab. On Windows, prefer Microsoft Marketplace or your administrator.

Soon: its link will appear on this page. In the meantime, install the add-in with its manifest, or ask your administrator to deploy it.

Which versions of Office are supported?

Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook in Microsoft 365 on Windows, Mac, the web and iPad, as well as Office 2021 and later. Outlook also works on iPhone and Android, for received emails.

What does Nella read in my document?

Only what you attach, when you send: the selection, the document, the cell range, the slide or the email. Nothing is read until you ask.

How does Nella write into my document?

Under each answer: Insert or Replace the selection in Word, Insert the table or the formula in Excel, Create the slides in PowerPoint, Reply with this text in Outlook. Nothing changes without your click.

How do I install it for my whole organization?

In the Microsoft 365 admin center, Integrated apps: upload the add-in with its manifest address and choose the people. It appears in their Office with nothing else to do.

Is the add-in free?

Yes. Try it without an account, then use Nella Quick for free with a Free account. The Pro and Max plans add the more powerful models.

Are my conversations the same everywhere?

Yes. Sign in with the same account: your conversations and your plan follow you on the web, iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux, VS Code, browsers and JetBrains IDEs.
