From a sentence to a working app: a guide to Creations

Describe a website, a calculator or a small game, and Nella writes it, runs it and shows it to you. How Creations work, what they’re good for and how to get great results.

Some answers are better shown than told. With Creations, Nella doesn’t just describe a website or a tool: it builds it, runs it in front of you and lets you improve it simply by asking.

What is a Creation?

A Creation is a small website or web app that Nella writes in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It opens in a panel next to the conversation, with two tabs:

  • Preview: the result, live. Click, type, play: it really works.
  • Code: the complete source code, ready to read or copy.

What you can build

Anything that fits on a single web page:

  • a landing page for your business, your event or your app;
  • a calculator: tips with taxes, loan payments, unit conversions;
  • a form, a quiz, a checklist, a timer;
  • a small game for a classroom or a party;
  • a chart that brings data you paste in to life.

Describe it like a client brief

The more Nella knows about the goal, the better the first version. A good request covers four things:

  1. What it is: “a one-page site for my yoga studio in Victoria”.
  2. What it must contain: “the class schedule, prices and a contact button”.
  3. How it should feel: “calm, lots of white space, earthy colours”.
  4. What it must do: “highlight today’s classes automatically”.

You don’t need to know any code. Plain language works best.

Improve it, one request at a time

Each change you ask for produces a new version: “make the header smaller”, “add a dark mode”, “the button should open an email”. Work in small steps and check the Preview each time; it’s faster than asking for everything at once.

If something doesn’t work, describe what you see: “when I click Calculate, nothing happens”. Nella reads its own code and fixes it.

Choose the right model

For most Creations, Nella offers the best balance between speed and quality. Switch to Nella Expert for longer apps or tricky logic: it takes a little more time and uses more of your limit, and it’s worth it when the result matters.

Safe by design

Every Creation runs in an isolated frame, separate from the rest of the page. It can’t see your session, your cookies or your conversations, and it has no access to your account. It can load public resources, such as a font or an image, and nothing more.

Take it with you

The code is yours. Copy it from the Code tab, or use Download (.zip) to get the files and publish them on the web host of your choice. Before putting a site online, ask Nella for a final pass: “make it accessible and mobile-friendly, then explain how to publish it.”
